Clubhouse Appeal
Castleknock Hurling and Football Club are launching our Clubhouse Appeal to all members and supporters of the GAA club at the start of 2012. This follows on from a very successful year in 2011 when the club, only formed in 1998, were promoted from Junior to Intermediate in Adult Football for the first time. Also County Championships were won at prestigious Dublin Minor A and Ladies B levels
The club executive, trustees and membership of the club have decided to drive ahead with the building of a clubhouse. Niall Tutty, the new Chairman, commented "we have achieved a lot in our new home in the past three years building 3 pitches, an all-weather training pitch, hurling wall and carpark. It is now time to put a roof over our heads. For our growing membership and particularly in bad weather we want to offer showers, toilets, meeting rooms to members and visitors with the types of facilities most established clubs enjoy."
To achieve this, the club is launching a bond scheme to members, supporters of the club and the local community. Participants in the scheme will loan a sum of money, interest free, to the club for a fixed period. The bond period is set at 10 years and the club will redeem the bonds after ten years. The club is expecting that contributors will have expressed their commitment to the scheme by 17th March in order to finalise building plans for 2012. Flexible payment plans into the scheme are in place and can be availed of by all. Pitchside Advertising with Castleknock GAA Club
Castleknock GAA Club, home to 1,600 members and their families, have a great advertising opportunity available for your business. The Club is one of the fastest growing Clubs in Ireland and has had significant success since it was formed in 1998 including recently winning this years Minor A Football Championship and with our both Adult Football & Hurling teams winning promotion to Intermediate.
We are now erecting new pitch signage in Somerton Park, our new Club grounds. We would like to give your business the opportunity to advertise on the field in the heart of the action!
Your investment in a pitchside advertising sign for three years is priced at E300 per year. Alternatively you can get a three year sign for E750. A once off cost of creating the sign of E150 will be incurred in year 1. All revenue generated will go directly to our new Clubhouse development fund.

Cookery Demonstration

The Club is hosting a fundraising event to purchase 2 defibrillators in October.
The cookery demonstration, including sampling of Asian Bites, will be held in the Castleknock Hotel and Country Club (sponsors of Adult Section of Club) at 8pm on Monday 22nd October.
