The death has occurred of Patrick Joseph (Joe) SMITH, Laurel Lodge, Castleknock, Dublin / Roscommon

SMITH, Patrick Joseph (Joe) (Laurel Lodge Dublin 15, formerly of Rathmoyle, Co. Roscommon) April 23rd, 2020 passed peacefully at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Beloved husband of Mary (Moira), dear father of Paul, Leona, Damian, Noel, Aidan, Alan, Elain, Orla, Barry and Tracy and brother of John and Marie. Also sadly missed by his loving grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rest in Peace

Joe lived for his family and community. He was actively involved in many community projects, most notably in the development of the local church, school and community centre. He spent many years working as an A.C.O in the Irish Prison Service. He was a keen GAA supporter, and always remained loyal to his Roscommon roots. Joe was known throughout the community for his sense of humour, and willingness to always lend a helping hand to everyone. It's a great loss for him to have left us, and he will be sadly missed.
"With willing hands and a loving heart, for us you did it all".
