Congratulations to our Minor Hurlers.who won the C Championship final against Na Fianna. (Castleknock 0-18, Na Fianna 0-13)
Well done to our Minor Ladies who overcame neighbours St Brigid's in their Camogie Championship Semi-Final, 4-5 to 1-5. Great performances from all the girls. Their Final will be this Sunday, November 26th at 12.30 in Parnells GAA. Good luck girls!

The club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Monday 27 November 2017 at 8pm in the Castleknock Hotel. All registered adult ‘Full Members’ are eligible to attend, participate and vote at the AGM.

Saturday's Lip Sync Battle was a phenomenal success, so many fantastic acts and a great night's entertainment. Well done and huge thanks to all the performers, the committee, judges, helpers, sponsors and the event organisers. Congratulations also to the very worthy winners "Justice for Donie".

Major weekend for the U15 boys who are winners of U15 A and U15C and runners-up in the U15D Football Championships! What an achievement.  Well done also to minor ladies on their Camogie championship win over Cuala.

Don’t forget- Juvenile Awards night this Thursday 16th November in Westmanstown to recognise all our young players hard work and achievements.

Fantastic night in store at Lipsync Battle is this Saturday 11th November! The groups have all been practising really hard over the past few weeks and are nearly word perfect. For those concerned, the Ireland v Denmark showing on the big screen both before the show and at the interval. Congratulations to our U15A Hurlers who are Championship winners, thanks to a great 2nd half comeback against Ballyboden to win 1:17-3:09. Well done to all the lads, mentors and coaches. Well done to our Minor Hurlers who had a great Championship win over St Vincent's 4-10 to 1-14.

Congratulations to our Senior Ladies Camogie team who battled to a great win in the Senior 4 Championship Final today in Abbotstown. Great match with great heart shown by all the ladies, particularly in the final 5 minutes! Well done to the mentors and girls!!

Great weekend for our U15 boys footballers with all three teams into their Championship semi finals. Well done to our Div 9 Adult Men Footballers who had a great win over St Colmcilles in their league. (Castleknock  2-14 St Colmcilles 1-6)

Massive game for our Adult Camogie 1st team this Sunday 15th October as they take on Cuala in the Sen 4 Championship Final at 3.30pm in Abbotstown, get out and support the ladies!

Hard luck to  the U15 Div 1 Hurlers who lost out to Lucan GAA in the League final. Brilliant second-half comeback and great heart shown by the whole team despite the result. 
Well done to the Under 10 Boys who took part in a football blitz co-hosted by Clann na nGael GAA (Co. Roscommon) and Padraig Pearses GAA Club - Roscommon over the weekend and big thanks to both clubs for hosting.

Busy weekend for the club with plenty of Championship action. Hard luck to our Senior footballers who lost out by the narrowest of margins to an excellent Kilmacud Crokes. Best of luck to Crokes in the semi-final. 
Well done to our Sen. 4 Camogie team who have reached the Championship final after a great win over St Vincent's C. Final will take place on 15th October, keep an eye out for the details! Commiserations to our Div 7 Camogie team who lost their Shield Final to a strong Crumlin side.

Three fantastic wins as the club had three U15 football boys teams line out at Championship, a first in the clubs history. Well done lads! More impressive displays by our U13 girls Camogie teams, our Div 4 team are into Shield Final  while our Div 1 side beaten in semi final.
Best of luck to our 1st Adult Ladies footballers who are off to Malahide on Wednesday to take on St.Slyvester's in the League.

Massive congratulations to the Dublin Ladies on a fantastic win against Mayo yesterday to become All Ireland Champions! Great team performance!

Big night for the club on Friday as the Senior Footballers take on Kilmacud Crokes in the Quarter Final of the Senior Championship in Parnell Park. Make sure to get out and support the lads!

Another great win for our Senior 4 Camogie team, beating St. Peregrines 3-8  to 0-4 to top their group. 
Well done to our U15 boys who have reached the final of A Hurling Championship after a great win over St.Oliver Plunketts.

Really busy weekend with loads of champo action. Good wins for both minor football teams and the u16 hurlers. U 15 boys achieved a four in a row with their Div 1 league win at the weekend. Adult ladies second team, sponsored by Camile had a good cup win. Snr Camogie team are preparing for first round of the champo. Great championship wins for ladies U16's,U15s and U13's football and U14's Camogie.

Congratulations to Caitlin Coffey and Ciara Golden and Dublin U16A Camogie team who won the Leinster U16A Camogie final V Wexford 1-16 to 1-10.

Well done to all the club's young talent who represented Dublin last week. Caitlin Coffey and Dub U16A team advance to semi-final stage of All-Ireland with their win over Kilkenny while Ciara Golden, Rebecca Cassidy and Dub 16B team had a great win over Clare. Davy Bohan and Conor Chawke were on the winning U16 football squad for Dublin v Laois in the Ger Reilly Plate Final and represented Ireland in a Shinty International game vs Scotland earlier in the week. The club was also represented in Dublin Camogie at both Minor and U15 levels at the weekend.

Well done to the Adult Men who drew with Thomas Davis in AFL Div1 and in AFL Div 4 who had a great win over S. Brigid's (2-11 to 1-10).

Castleknock hurlers David Bohan, Luke Swan and Conor Murray represented Dublin in an U16 v U15 hurling clash in O'Toole Park, with the U16's taking victory by a point.

Massive win for the Senior Footballers against St Oliver Plunketts in the first round of the Senior Championship in an epic contest which saw the Castleknock men prevail with 2-18 to 2-15 after extra-time. Congrats also to the the Ladies first team who beat Man O War 2-16 to 2-8 and to U14 Ladies Footballers who won Div 2 League with 1 match remaining.

It was a great weekend for club members representing Dublin with Caitlin Coffey & Eimear Griffin part of the Dublin U16 Leinster Football Final who beat Meath.  Congratulations to both and well done to Ollie Coffey, a key part of the Dublin U16 Management Team. Big congratulations to the Castleknock girls who won the U14 Leinster Camogie Shield yesterday with Dublin - Lucy Quinn, Hannah Bourke, Emma Diamond, Aoife Bergin and Aisling O'Neil.

Senior footballers progressed in championship together with our Junior B and Junior C teams with our Junior D side losing out to Templeogue. Senior 2 camogie had a good win over St Brigids.

Senior hurling championship kicks off in Somerton next Saturday evening with a big crowd expected.

Feile hurling takes place next weekend with the lads competing in Div. 2 at Tymon Park and Div. 6 in Bremore Park. Good luck to the lads.

Congrats to Castleknock men Eoin, Shane and Tom who along with club coach Paul helped Dublin reach the final of the O'Byrne Cup where they will take on Louth. It was great to see so many happy children back at the Castleknock Nursery on Saturday. Sincere sympathies to the family of club member and mentor Brendan Kelly R.I.P. who sadly passed away last week. As a teacher in CCC, Brendan was instrumental in forging the close relationship between the club and CCC.   Also deep sympathies to the Dillon and Jolley families on their recent losses. Our senior football manager Lar Norton is stepping down and we extend a sincere míle buíochas to Lar for his commitment and leadership during a memorable year for our senior team. Our senior footballers lost out to St Brigids and congrats to our neighbours on ensuring their Div 1 status. Hard luck to our U21 hurlers who lost out to a very good St Jude’s team.

Sincere thanks to our players and management for all their efforts on reaching our first senior championship football final. The build up demonstrated a great 'pride in the parish' and sincere thanks to all from near and far who demonstrated their support and sent messages of goodwill. Many thanks to the army of supporters who travelled to Parnell Park and turned it into a second Somerton! Congrats to St. Vincents and best of luck in Leinster.

We also held a superb fundraising OsKars night in Westmanstown and an amazing job was done by the organising committee. Congratulations to all our juvenile Camogie players over the weekend who participated in competions. U13's won the Div 2 Camogie Championship, U14 and U15 girls won their Div 1 shield finals. Pride of place this week goes to Aoife, Claire, Niamh, Molly and Aisling along with Mentors Eilish and Josie who won the Liberty Insurance Squad Goals Camogie Skills Competition in front of 20,000 spectators in Croke Park on Sunday. The girls demonstrated their skills in a highly pressurised environment to beat the Kilkenny girls from St. Lachtains to win first price in this national competition. It was a big day also for Caitlin, Sinead, Cara, Emma and Caoimhe who were part of the Dublin u14 squad who played in a camogie bliz in Croker.

The club are extremely proud of our Ladies Footballers who played in two exciting Championship Finals last week with both sides unlucky to lose out by the narrowest of margins. Brilliant win for our U15 Camogie girls over St Vincents in the Championship and a great away win for our minor footballers over BSJ which guarantees them a league semi final. Hard fought and deserved win for our adult A hurlers in the league over Finbarrs.  

Our family day takes place this Saturday 3rd Sept in Somerton Park. Activities for all the family, why not drop down and enjoy the fun. Brilliant hard fought win by our Adult Div 1 Footballers over Jude’s in the league on Saturday was followed up by a great away win for our Div 5 Footballers away to Ballinteer on Sunday. Great fun in the past week for all those who attended the Kellogg's CúlCamp. Big numbers turned out to learn new skills. Our Nursery is currently on its summer break. Thanks to Tigers Childcare for their support.

Great win for our senior footballers over Na Fianna, Despite a strong start from Na Fianna the Knock lads ran out winners 2:15  to  1-12 . Our div. 5 team recorded a good win over Pereguines, the Div. 9 went down to St Pats, Palmerstown and Div. 11 lads drew with St Monicas to keep them in contention for promotion.

Hard luck to our second minor hurlers who lost out in the league semi to Wild Geese. Well done to Luke Swan, Conor Murray and Alex Watson who starred for the Dubs U14 hurlers and also the 2001 Camogie girls, Sophie Browne, Rebecca Cassidy and Ciara Golden who represented Dublin on Saturday. Congrats to all.

An unbelievable demonstration of community spirit was evident at the “Give Cancer the Boot” Legends Match and Auction on Saturday. The events were in aid of The Mater Foundation and St Francis Hospice and in memory of club member Áine Chawke. Sincere thanks to all our Legends both famous and otherwise! The brilliant Garda Band, all the marvellous volunteers and all who contributed to such an amazing day.  It was a proud day for the Chawke, and O’Callaghan families.

Best wishes to all attending the Kelloggs Cúl Camp this week. A week of fun, friendship making and skills. Our Nursery takes a summer break but it’s a good opportunity to sincerely thanks all those who help out on a weekly basis and particularly our nursery sponsor Tigers Childcare. Tks also to ‘Get Fresh’ in Laurel Lodge who supplied the kids with healthy fruit at the nursery on Sat.

Senior Adult Hurlers had a great win over Raheny but went down to Boden. 2nd Footballers play Championship Tues 5th away to Judes all support appreciated. CHAMPIONS! Congrats to our u14 footballers who won the All-Ireland Division 1 Féile in Kerry over the weekend.  It is a marvellous achievement and the boys had to take on and overcome the best u14 teams from Ireland and abroad. Well done to all the Mentors and all who contributed to such a memorable weekend particularly those who travelled in such large numbers to see the boys being crowned the Kings of the Kingdom! Great weekend of football with our adult mens teams in action. Div1, Div 5 & Div 11 teams all had great wins and the Div 9 only lost out by the narrowest of margins. U 16 hurlers had a good win over Raheny and our Div 4 camogie champions who like our u15 camogie girls, finished their league unbeaten.  Ladies footballers had a great championship win over Maurs. Well done to all.

Congrats to our u15 Camogie team who clinched the league title last week against St . Peregrines. Well done to all involved. Well done also to our U15a boys who had a great Championship win over Round Towers. Great stuff from Senior 4 Camogie girls who are top of the league. First Ladies football team had a great championship win over Westmanstown. Two great wins from our minor hurlers over the week-end, well done lads. Hard luck to our adult footballers in the C & D championships both teams played well but were unlucky to lose. Well done to both Castleknock Community College and Mount Sackville on their recent Camogie Championships success.

Sincere thanks to O’Tooles for hosting our 2005 boys in a very enjoyable fun tournament. Well done to all on Dublin representative duty over the week-end. Siobhan Geraghty who is the Mother of David a first year Minor with Castleknock GAA was the victim of a hit and run and is in a coma in Beaumont Hospital. Please keep Siobhan and David in your thoughts and prayers.

Super win for our Adult Hurlers in the Senior B Championship away against Whitehall. Great performance by all including the large travelling support. Hard luck to second team who lost out to Civil Service. U15 Camogie team had a great win over Skerries and they have a big game v Peregrines this week.  Great win for u15 footballers in the A Championship against Round Towers.

Minor Footballers drew against BSJ in Div2 and had a good win over Judes in Div 5. Sincere best wishes to all our players and their families who are gearing up for the Junior and Leaving Cert exams.

If Castleknock GAA did weekends……! And what a weekend it was! Megga Congrats to our U14 footballers who won the Division 1 Dublin Football Féile over the weekend. Sincere thanks to all the players, mentors and parents for all their efforts.

Super win for our adult footballers in the Dublin Senior Championship over Plunketts. Congrats to all involved and also congrats to all who organized and supported the very successful fund-raising race night in Kavanaghs after the Championship game. Great night had by all!

Special mention to our 2nd ladies football team who have had a great start to the season with three great wins. Great win also by the minor hurlers in a great game against Marnog.

Marvellous win in Div 2 Féile after hard fought games with a great win in the Final over our neighbours St Brigids to become Féile Champions 2016!. Great performances also from all our Div 5 girls. Thank you for the Huge support from the whole Club, much appreciated by the team and mentors.


Congratulations to Ciara Murray who was part of the Dublin Camogie team who won the U16 Leinster Title. Congrats also to Ciarán Kilkenny on receiving the Man of the Match award for his great display against Kerry in Dublin's great National League Final win.

A very dramatic weekend for the club saw our brilliant U14 hurlers just pipped by Lucan in the Div 1 Final after extra time. Our Div 5 team also gave a great account of themselves. The club is extremely proud of all our U14 hurlers who represented the club with great skill, passion and pride. Well done to all involved. Congrats to Lucan and sincere thanks to Boden and Peregrines for their hospitality.

The Div1 footballers had a hard fought win over Plunketts in Somerton and also well done to all our adult footballers who had a very productive weekend.

 Next weekend is Hurling Championship and our Seniors play Barrog in Somerton on Saturday at 6pm. Please support all our hurlers next weekend. The girls camogie Féile also takes place and your support would again be appreciated. Best of luck to all our teams.

Great week for the Adult Ladies , a week where the club for the first time in our history fielded two adult camogie teams. On the pitch both adult football teams won their cup matches and not to out done both the camogie teams started their league campaign's with terrific wins. Great win for U16 footballers in the Championship. Three great wins for our U14 footballers including their first game on the main pitch on Somerton where they accounted for near neighbours St Brigids.

Well done to all our U13 and U14 girls who played in the Ladies Football Féile with both our teams giving great performances making their mentors, parents and the club extremely proud of their efforts. The Div1 team narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-final, while the Div 7 team made it to the semi only to be beaten by the eventual winners Naomh Mearnog. Sincere thanks to all who braved the weather and came out to support both teams. Castleknock Abú!

Two hard fought draws for our adult div1 and div5 football teams over the weekend. Lots of guts and never say die attitude on show. Great win for our Adult Ladies in the cup over St Maurs. Minor hurlers kept up their good win with a victory over Rialto Gaels.

Adult Div 2 Hurlers play Faughs in the league on Saturday 9th in Somerton at 6pm. All support would be very welcome.

Great play from all of our ladies under-age teams over the weekend. Well done to Caitlin Coffey and Ciara Murray who represented Castleknock on Dublin Development teams against Kildare last Saturday at U14 and U16 level respectively.

 Great win for our minor A footballers away to Plunketts and they keep their unbeaten run going. Our second minor team drew away to Plunketts which was again a great result. Congrats to Rob Shaw and the Dublin Minors who won the Leinter football league on Saturday.

It was a Super Sunday for our Adult Footballers as all our four teams registered opening day league wins. There was great excitement at our nursery on Saturday with the visit of Sam Maguire. Some great and memorable pictures were taken and thanks to all who organised the visit. Our Nursery (thanks to Tiger Childcare) take place on Saturday and it takes place on the all-weather in Somerton (beside the Castleknock Hotel) starting at 10am. We look forward to welcoming all our young nursery boys and girls for some Spórt agus Spraoi, fun and encouragement. New nursery members always very welcome, just turn up and introduce yourself to one of the many friendly mentors.. Well done to all involved in the U16 Camogie Celebration night. Please contact our Club Coach Paul Hudson on 087 6292276 if you have completed the Award 1 Coach Education and wish to up-skill by completing the Award 2 Coach Education. The Award 2 Coach Education course is the third award on the coaching pathway of Gaelic games. The course is aimed at coaches that have progressed through the Foundation Award and Award 1 programmes and have experience as a Coach. Now that Spring is in the air, it’s time to clear out old clothes etc and drop them down to the green container in Somerton for the clubs Cash for Clobber initiative. It's a great way to clear the clutter and get some cash for the club! The GAA National Club Draw is now an annual event following its success over the past two years. The sole purpose of the GAA National Club Draw is to assist clubs in their drive to raise much needed funds to aid in the development and the promotion of our games. All prizes are provided by Ard Chomhairle. Tickets €10. Details of super prizes are on our website. Any queries or to buy tickets please call Breda Griffin (086)8416431. Each club retains all the proceeds from the tickets sold by their club so it’s a great opportunity to raise funds. 2016 Club Calendars are still available and every wall should have one, again we are asking all members and friends to please support these initiatives. There was no winner of our weekly lotto sponsored by Riverwood Construction, the numbers drawn were 8, 16, 17, 24. Jackpot now €2,200 with the next draw in The Bell on 11th Feb. The Club Celebration Night was a great success and well done to all the organisers and sincere thanks to all who attended. Well done to all who picked up well deserved awards and congrats to all our teams for their achievements in 2015 and very best wishes for 2016. A great chance to up-skill! A basic club referee training course for new adult referees will commence on Monday February 8th and continues on Monday February 15th - the venue is Parnell Park - time 19:30 with registration at 19:15. We hope that an enjoyable and happy Christmas was had by all Castleknock members and we would like to wish all members of Castleknock Hurling and Football Club and their families a very happy and healthy New Year.A massive congratulations to our very own Graham Hannigan on his excellent performance for Dublin in their O'Byrne Cup opener against Wexford. The Dubs came back stronger in the second half to salvage a draw in an extremely competitive and exciting encounter. We would like to say a big thank you to St. James Gaels and the Humphrey family for hosting the John Humphrey Memorial competition which our Under 10's took part in. A wonderful experience was had by all involved. Finally we would like to wish the very best of luck to all of our teams returning to training for the 2016 season.
