Senior Footballers ALF2 Game Unfinished Due To Injury

Castleknock 0-4 Na Fianna 0-1 (After 14 minutes)

An injury to Castleknock’s Graham Hannigan brought this AFL2 game against Na Fianna in Somerton to a premature conclusion on Friday evening (Aug.16).

Castleknock started brightly with 4 points in the first 9 minutes from Ben Galvin, Shane Boland and Mattie Walsh (2). Na Fianna’s Gar Ryan then hit back with a pointed free before Graham Hannigan went down with a back injury.

The game was suspended for 40 minutes while Graham was attended to by our own backroom team, the Paramedics of Dublin Fire Brigade, the Ambulance Service and Na Fianna player Dr. Mark Sheehan before being taken to hospital.

Understandably play was not subsequently resumed.

Everyone in the Club sends Graham their best regards and wishes him a speedy and full recovery.
